Scirocco List Cruise-In / Tech Procedure Weekend.

Daun's parents house, near Wilmington Ohio. (zip 45177) LOTS and LOTS of off street parking. (10+ acres of grass)

Schedule Of Events:

Friday June 5th

• Arrival day. The bulk of the group seems to arrive around dinnertime, although anytime after lunch is perfectly acceptable. Pizza will be served, donations will be accepted. (Just toss some money towards Daun when you show up.) The party generally lasts well into the night. Catch up with friends from last year, meet listers, swap travel adventures... PLEASE party responsibly.

Saturday June 6th

• What do we always do on Saturday? Why, fix the things that broke on the trip Friday of course! (Or whatever other tech-procedure you had planned.) If wrenching isn't your thing, then why not "supervise" someone else's project progress? Work up an appetite, as the Texans are coming with more Brisket, just don't plan on eating 'til 7-8ish. Then, relax in front of the garage with some more of "The Scirocco-List's Funniest Videos." Bring your lawn chair. Tech. Rocs. Movies. You know what to do...
• Late afternoon (4:00-5:00ish)...What did we do last year?!
  

Sunday June 7th

• Late morning (11:00-ish) cruise for food. Be sure to have plenty of fuel as there's little chance of stopping for gas!
  End location will be at a good "taking off" spot for those heading out on Sunday.
• Of course, yet more tech procedures and enjoying the Scirocco-folk camaraderie.

Directions:

Driving:

• Find on your Bland McNally (or other map of your choosing) the intesection of I-71 and U.S. 68; about 5 miles north of Wilmington Ohio.
• From this intersection, travel approx. 1 mile South on U.S. 68 to Gurneyville Rd. (Just beyond 300ft. tower - you can't miss THAT.)
• Turn Right (West) on Gurneyville Rd.
• Travel approx. 1 mile on Gurneyville, through the intersection of Curry Rd.
• Two driveways are on the LEFT at the top of the next rise - you want the 2nd one. (GRAVEL) Address is 1353 Gurneyville Rd.
• If you cross over I-71 while on Gurneyville Rd, you've gone too far.
• Also, the airport beacon is located AT the house, so if you arrive after dark just home in on the rotating green & white light.

Flying:

• Fly into Clinton County Airport (I66) and WALK over. :)
• Dayton, Cincinnati and Columbus Airports are all about 1 hour's drive away - it's possible someone may be able to pick up someone who's flying in. (We could probably arrange for a loaner Scirocco for the weekend.)

Special Notes:

There's a wild, wacky, fun and most exceedingly LONG forum posting on the VW Vortex for the Cincy gathering. Check it out if you have several hours to kill.

PLEEZE PLEEZE PLEEZE - If you are planning to show up for this, it would be really helpful to register. This is strictly so Daun knows how many folks are planning on actually showing up and can plan accordingly.

If you have an FRS / "Talkabout" radio or two, be sure to bring it along. Scirocco Radio is channel 5, sub 5.
