Well I did my road warrior thing and made it all safe and sound back last
night around 1.30AM (Monday) after leaving Ron's place at 11.30Am.
First foremost I would like to thank Daun's for the hospitality of the use of his house, and ground to have this event Second I would like to thank Ron for the use of the hide-a-bed during my stay (not to mention all the work you are doing on my tranny!) Cincy.... Well it was more than I expected... more cars, more people, more fun, more more more.... tech notes all over the place.... stuff to fix, to remove, parts to trade... Was most awesome to be able to finally put faces to the names. To all I have met this weekend ... it was great to meet y'all! Aside from the first night mix up (was waiting for Ron peiper to goto sleep on Friday night, and waiting for him on edge of road), saw red rocco, started following, found myself on South I68 and I50 some 40 miles south of where I should of been, Colin it was a fun drive following you though Cheers! beside that I50 had some pretty sweet turns and quadruple "S" roads .... Ill leave you with two things 1. link to pictures I took 2. a quote that made the "video night" a blast " and now the moment you have been all waiting for.... let's turn it off...." Gawd I love it all..... will be there next year... but I need to get all 31 Texan scirocco's to come now... loll lets make it 90 cars next year. ATS - Patrick Bureau |
The Scirocco Show-Of-Shows, the one to be at... ...did I mention that you really had to be here if you are a serious Roc-head? (ha!) Rocs and their owners come from all over to be here...Georgia plate here... The famous Red Rocc plate from New York Factory VW Pilot from Ohio plate All the way from New Mexico!! (Josh H) Ontario plate here, eh! Kickin' butt all the way from California! Uh, the motormount is lower guys. :-) And for only 19.95 you too can join the 'I-like-watching-other-people-work-on-their-cars' fan club. Operators are sitting by!! Say, how long does it normally take to change a front motor mount? (just picking on you a bit Tobias! :-) ) Ok, he eventually fixed it. :) Much working on cars all weekend, truly great! Josh Ables new to him 1.8t T3/T4 motor... Josh's car got some really serious motor mount work done also before the weekend was over. His car really really needed it, posing here is Brian and well, Brian; the team that did most of the work changing Josh's motor mounts. Daun clues us in on what we'll be doing in his backyard The tech work continues unabated. You can just see the cars starting to file into the backyard. (Not sure whom this is here...sorry) Spider Ben scales the tower for the greater good... ...and he is mighty good. :) There's nobody Harder. (ha!) I've got a headache THIS big...(Daun directs traffic in his yard) Pilot to tower, permission to buzz the VW's in the front yard? (Ben's view from above on the tower) Tower shot again, it's a good thing that we only give Ben 10 rounds for his Browning hi-power rifle. Rolling into the yard for the big Roc layout... I really like this picture for some reason. :) Drawing on the ground with Sciroccos, it takes a long time, and you don't get many colors, but it's still fun. What's it spell? NOTHING YET! Holy Crow Batman, they've made an 'O'!! |
