It really does depend on your driving habits. Lots of short trips will
allow water to condense, collect, and corrode the exhaust from inside.
Longer trips where the whole thing heats up will boil off the water as
the car sits once you turn it off.
Dips and bends will be where it collects in addition to within any
mufflers. Some people drill small holes at these low points so water
drips out. Of course northern climes with external salt will accelerate
corrosion and stainless will resist corrosion, but most exhausts
deteriorate from inside because they stay wet.
