List dead? ? ?

Fine, thanks.  I actually worked on my car a bit this weekend.
Pulled of the door cards (88) with cloth inserts and carefully pulled the
noise insulating from from the back (same with a pair of "leather" cards.
Glued the black vinyl ("leather") insert into the card for my car and glued
the cloth one to the donor card, so I can sell the set.  I'm speaking in the
singular because I only got to the driver's side.  Leaf raking and an
unexpected garage roof shingle repair got in the way.

I almost went to look at a 41k mile red 75 MKI for sale about 2 hours from
here and I realized the following:

I don't ever have time to work on my 88, which needs very little.  I don't
want to drive it because even though it's far from mint, the paint is pretty
nice....I don't want it to age any more.  I have lots of stuff I want to do
to it, but haven't spent the money/taken the time.

I realized that if I bought a nice MKI, I'd NEVER drive it.  I have no
inclination to "collect" a MKI; I wouldn't really enjoy it that way, so a
bone stock piece of history would be tough to own, as it would make me more
neurotic than I am now.  That and the fact the a 75 would continue to rust
no matter what I do, even in my (unheated) garage and that would really
bother me.

Ideally, I'd like to find a super clean later MKI, ideally a red or white
"S."
