Question about heads.

I have an '82 rocco with the 1.7 en engine, I noticed that  the head gasket is starting to weep coolant externally. Although I know the head form 1.6 liters up to 2.0 (8 valve only) are of the same family, how interchangeable are they? I have two known straight and good '83 1.8 liter JH heads. I was wondering if when I pull my 1.7 head off and find that it is warped, if I can simply use the JH head or are there issues that will prevent an easy swap? Any good info on this would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
