Vista, wireless networking, and printer sharing

This might sound whacky, but is the firewall running on your machine? I've found that a lot of times file sharing will not work on the machine with the firewall turned off. Also, do you have simple file sharing enabled or disabled on the XP machine? You want it DISABLED. That's in Tools->Folder options->View then scroll all the way to the bottom. Are both PC's in the same workgroup?

File and printer sharing is enabled on both computers. The windows
firewall is not currently running on her machine.
