I read the list but not very carefully and I saw you were talking about
tools earlier and what to call them and where to get them. The main
places that carry jillions of official VW tools are sam's and ass's:

http://www.asttool.com/
These websites also allow you to hit up your local Matco or Snap-on
truck with a proper tool number. A Hazet 990Lg-8? That's a VW CV tool.
Triple square XZN. Just ask the farmer at the feedstore when the
truck comes by and wait. Climb aboard and hit the guy up for your tool.
For something like that, they'll have an equivalent. Some of the
fancier stuff they may be able to get for you next time. It's fun to
plan ahead. They have websites, too. You can search for VW there:

http://www.snapon.com/
NAPA or other jobber FLAPS may be able to work from those #s as well.
On the phone even. But sometimes it is nice to own the proper tool.
From Germany. Those toilet clamps work so sweet. The holes on the
tips add leverage, it just comes off. If they made the toilets from
space-age material with more flow they might be great. Of course you
can pop them off with a crowbar, but putting them on means your eyes are
at least as close as your hands need to be and you don't want that in a
toilet.
You do a lot of driveshafts? Your off-the shelf Lisle socket bit got
silver showing on the edges? That's because the bolt gave then then the
tool squished before it let go. The Hazet bit may be $26 but it will
not do this. It will make your car zing. I do not have one, I traded
it for a rusty pitchfork in my cat's eye. But they are nice. You go
buy them now.
