general transmission question - input shaft!

AUG requires an 8V clutch.

'94-98/99 would have the larger input shaft.

do all 8v 020 transmissions have the smaller input shaft?  I have a
non-leaky AUG that I was considering putting into my 16v.  Don't really want
to change the clutch but I was hoping there's a chance it has the larger
input shaft since its from later model cars.
