In case anyone wants to know, it is still possible to get new computers with XP, but you need to go through particular web avenues and choose from a few specific companies. Feel free to email me off list if you want to know how.

Not to highjack Cathy's thread, but I'm having similar issues.
If anyone remembers, I recently got my wife's new laptop (Vista) to
work with our printer (connected to my machine) over the wireless lan.
Now it doesn't and I've tried reinstalling and I keep getting error
0x0000006 which ain't telling ME much.
