Umm, ok.  I'll bite.  I finally got around to step one in my SMS'd
transmission replacement plan.  Step one is of course pulling the old
tranny.  I (thankfully) had access to a kick-ass lift only 30 minutes
from my house so I could pull the tranny with ease.  Well, with ease
thanks to the help of my brother and Mr. Tim McConnell.  Only 'cause
it's easier to tell a story with pictures:

Take a look at the gaping holes inside the bell housing!  

Successful removal, now for the rebuild portion.  I'm also taking the
time to replace clutch and flywheel while everything is out, along with
a couple other key items.  I'm trying to get her back on the road in
time for H2O as well as a fall foliage cruise in NY state.  Woo hoo!
