Well, the Montero Sport is eating more oil, and I don't really trust her for
long distances, and the 8V is still in pieces in the yard (I know, I know),
so I am considering a new(er) ride. I think I am ready to keep it in the VW
family, but am open to suggestions.
Option 1: there is this shiny red 2006 2-door GTI at a Ford dealer (I have
seen this tease to and from work every day for about 3 weeks). It has a
roof rack (JOY!!!) and calls my name as I pass. I stopped briefly to see
that they want almost $20K.
Option 2: stopped at VW (on a Sunday afternoon when I wouldn't be attacked
by the sharks who have no knowledge or appreciation for my true love who is
yet to run). You know, those new Rabbits sure are cute! Add a roof rack
and I might be the envy of Trenton, NC. Sticker said about $16.5k. VERY
disappointed in the listed gas mileage.
Option 3: anyone have a newer car they just adore? I hated the Mazda
rental the other week (2007 Mazda 3). Would like to get into something
smaller than an SUV, but still functional.
And, no I can't afford the R32 or the SUPER CUTE tangerine colored Farenheit
GTI (man would I be hot in an orange car, black leather with orange
stitching, that car made my feet itch to hit the gas pedal).
Ideas? Trust you guys more than the sharks at the stealership.
