need help with a diagnosis
Try to ground the wires to see if the light goes/stays off. If it stays on
there is an electrical problem. Then I would definitely second a mechanical
gauge to be sure you have pressure. You need to ground the wire to keep the
light and buzzer off.

Once the light comes on, it happens at all engine speeds. Once I let the
engine sit for a bit and fire it up it will be off again. But if I just
shut it off and fire it back up again it will still be on. That's why I
figured it had to be a temp thing.

Does this happen at all engine speeds, or above 2000 rpm?

Hello fellow listers can you help me out with a diagnosis? The last 2 times
I have driven the rocc about 20 minutes into the drive the oil light and
seatbelt(I think the other was seatbelt) light will come on. When this
first happened I thought, shit I'm low on oil 'cause the engine burns about
? quart every 100 miles or so.
But the oil was not as low as I thought it would be. Hmmm
So today when the lights came on again I was perplexed again :), the temp
gage in the center consol gets to about 90 cels, and the temp gage on the
dash goes up and down but stays in the lower quarter, and the light does not
come on.
When I popped the hood the upper radiator hose seemed to be a little
swollen. And when I opened the radiator the level looked low. So I fired
up the engine again and poured in some more fluid as the engine was running.
It took about 8oz and I could tell the water was moving 'cause it was
squirting out the hole at the tope of the radiator.
Any ideas why the oil light is coming on? Is it safe to drive the 16 miles
home in 90 degree heat.
Thanks
-Bill
