Freeze 12 A/C recharge kit \ A/C question

Anyone ever use the Freeze 12 kit?  Looks like it's a direct replacement 
for R12 (not an R132A conversion), and kits look to be reasonable.  I'd 
like to get the A/C working on my '88, and I don't really want to put a 
lot into an R132A conversion.

Speaking of, I'm looking to do a R132A recharge on a couple cars in the 
driveway, I've been doing some research, looks to be pretty simple and 
idiot-proof.  I'd get a complete kit, with guage, refrigerant, etc. 
Looking for any BTDTs for reference.
