OT:Stupid football announcers

    Well John, I'm sure you'll be further dissappointed.

        While watching TV on my break a game show I'd never seen before came on called 1 vs 100.  Fairly self explanitory, one person needs to get all the answers right until they beat the 100 in the panel.  As the 100 in the panel get the answers wrong they get eliminated.  The Question in review was "If you're singing 99 bottles of beer on the wall, how many 6 packs would it take to fill up the wall?", answers available:  A. Less then 15 Cases, B. Exactly 15 Cases, C More then 15 Cases.  Her response was perfect being the annoying, bubbley, screamish, middle aged, bleached blonde she was (not that I have anything against any one of those categories singularly).  "Well I don't drink beer so I don't know".  The Correct answer is irrelivant to the point of the example (so I can't spell and have no spell checker, I can do math).  Here's a hint so no one will be embarrassed: 15 Cases of 6 is 90 beers.  But wait, there's more.  Nearly 20 of the 100 got the answer wrong and when Bob Saget the Host asked one of the individuals why they got it wrong, the Maxim Model replied "I'm a wine drinker".  I guess there is life after Annoyingly unfunny and politically correct comedian typcasting.  A following Pop Culture question for the next contestant was "who is the Band Leader for Conan O'Brien" and the correct answer was: The drummer from Bruce Springsteins band.  If you didn't know this, it's forgivable, but less people got this question wrong then the simple math question.  On the other hand there was also a question "if you were listening to Old McDonalds Farm with and MP3 Player it might be called:"  A. E-pod, B. I-pod, C. E-I-E-I-O pod.  One person got this wrong.  There is a failing in the American Education system somewhere and if you don't see this as being a prime example of that then maybe that education system failed you.

  conversation was going how some Seattle players were using 5/8" cleats 
  instead of the usual 1/2". Someone was using 3/4" cleats. Joe, in his 
  infinite wisdom said" Troy, you played football, whats longer 5/8" or 3/4" 
  cleats." I almost fell out of my chair. I am unhappy when my seventh grade 
  students don't understand fractions! This was absurd!
