I am not a 16vT guy in fact I know very little about 16v so please bare with
me here.
Dan wrote "By my calculations the CR will be 7.9:1 with 16V head on either
an ABA or 3A block with stock pistons."
I figure this isn't the easiest or best way to achieve a better CR ratio,
could you deck the 16v head & have a machine shop add in more clearance to
the intake cutout, and add an exhaust cutout??
You could probably turbo a 9A, but with its 10:1 or 10.5:1 or 10.8:1 (or
whatever anybody claims!) you'd be limited to pretty low boost like 5 psi or
so."
But couldn't he get away with running lower compression pistons in this
case?

Subject: ABA turbo question again
Ok so I gotta ask this again because maybe I read it wrong earlier. If I
use a ABA block n pistons or a 3A block n pistons with a 16V 1.8 head will I
get a compression that is workable for a turbo? Would there be any other
issues with this setup( head block piston combination?)?
Or do I need to look at WIseco low compression pistons? I was thinking that
I would only need to lower the compression if I used a 9A which had 16v
Pistons in it???
Thanks
David
