retarded car

   or too advanced for it's own good? i choose to believe my '85 is an 
idiot savant. running WAY too rich, especially at start up. spots of 
unburnt hydrocarbons everywhere in the snow. timing marks are on but the 
head was slightly planed. had to rotate the distributor 20? CCW to get 
it to run steady. sound like a tooth off on the cam? only getting about 
22 mpg and would really like to do more. maybe move the cam one tooth 
CCW and the distributor to where it should be? help with fun in the snow 
appreciated. thanx.
