Back after a LOOOONG absence - Did Someone Say Exhaust?
-----Original Message-----
Hey, Peter...
Sorry, man. That's a darn good price, I know, from what shopping
I've done. I'd love to have it, but I can't afford it right now.
It's no problem... I'd be sad to pull the exhaust anyway...
It's a non-sunroof car, and in a few months it will qualify as an antique,
which means no more state inspections. All I have to do is update my
insurance, and renew the Exempt sticker every 2 years, for free.
I do have your site bookmarked, though, and I'm sure you'll get some
business from me not long from now.
Ok, sounds good.
What color is your interior?
I just had the exhaust that's on it fixed for now. All it took was a
clamp and a hanger, and I was good to go. I'm waiting on this house
to sell and for us to get moved into a cheaper one before I do any
serious mods or repairs, but when all that happens, I'm planning to
make a serious machine out of this thing. I believe I've lucked into
the best thing possible--an owner who didn't realize what she
had. It's dirty as hell and needs a LOT of stuff, but the structure
is still pretty sound.
Thanks anyway, though!
Carlee
You got it! Anytime...
You're better off doing a head-back anyway, dual exhaust manifold/DP (or
header), and a cat-back, to get good gains.
Also, if you don't mind a lumpy idle, once the exhaust is done, look into
the 286 Autotech cam, it will make it pull strong all the way to 7200RPM,
like a 16V.
