Dry rot



Nope, I had Firebirds back in the day that I paid someone to modify
(headers and such), but that Chevy purred like a kitten. In fact it was so
quiet you almost had to feel the exhaust to know it was running. My brother
and I co-owned it, so he did the maintenance on it (he's a calss A
mechanic). Nope, it was that 16V that got me into wrenching. It was a case
of either I learned to fix her or sold the car. I sure as hell couldn't
afford her lifestyle, she wanted to live on a hoist for the first four or
so years. Till I got Klaus actually...
