MKII Jetta with a 6 speed tranny???

Well here's a link to the car. I checked it out yesterday.  Has some cool rims, rear deck spoiler. Looks like it started life as a 16v at one time.  Anyway he was at $500 when I went to see it with the 6speed, by the time I left he was at make me an offer, because he needed the money by Thursday.  I had no desire for another non running VW in my driveway.   I've got to finish what I have in the works 1st.
