I had someone come look at it yesterday.
Dude seemed cool but brought a few friends with him and one of them
was a real ass.

He started grilling me about how much I paid for it and he would
repeat so it was $2400?  No?  a few minutes later so you paid like
$2000 for it?

Then he started talking shit about the dime sized surface rust spot on
the back and wanted me to take off like a grand so his buddy could
have it painted.

I asked $4000 so that I wouldn't get lowballed for less than I paid
for it and whattdya know?

"Those rear facing fog lamps that is part of the callaway package...
they don't work... that means electrical issues... that's a problem."

Finally I told him to leave.  I would not be lowballed, and I would
keep the fucker till it rots first.  So that being said I think I am
going to take it to a shop and have that turbo diagnosed and I think I
am just going to keep it.  I'll do that and work the bills out the
best I can from the funeral and travel.

I was open to negotiation down to the $3000 range, but this guy was
talking 2000 or less it seemed.  It got kinda ugly.  Like I said the
one guy was pretty cool, and I apologized to him.  I told him to call
me but ultimately I asked him to find another MK1 in that condition
for $3000, or find another Callaway in good shape for that price.

Ultimately I don't have a warm fuzzy so I am going to tell them it
isn't for sale anymore.

Am I wrong for being pissed?
