More gas tank stuff: No VW on Alldata?



Rex, you are not the first person I have heard from that has been told
the car is too old or the records do not go back that far.  What that
means is the person you are talking to most likely did not look it up.
I would suggest you check the link on the previous posts to make sure
your VIN is covered under the recall.  If it is I would try another
dealer and ask them to look it up and that it is still an open recall.
I would not give up since they are still doing the recall on the covered
vehicles.

I had no luck at the dealer or VWOA on mine.
Dealer could get nothing other than an unknown service
in the early 90's.  VWOA couldn't even get that (go
figure), but just basicaly told me it was too old be
able to tell.

Should I try again?
