Need help writing a Letter to VWoA for Gas Tank Recall coverage.

Is there anyone who successfully wrote a letter to VWoA to get their Gas
Tank replaced even if it was outside of the stated Years and VIN Numbers to
be covered.  My is an 1986 and the recall is for 1987/88 Sciroccos but they
all take the same Gas Tanks.

Any help would be appreciated.
