well i checked it out today.
the engine, is as quiet as can be, no ticking, no funny noises.
-Wow that is surprising, I am sure it sounded like a Volkswagen still.
Paint, is pretty good, but as to be expected on an 80,000 mile car
interior, friggin immaculate its the black and tan combo that i love oh so
much.
-Yes the Black and Tan Combo is so so nice. It has to be one of my favorite
-parts of my Wolfs. The seats are very supportive, and hold you into place
-with great comfort excellent for long those long drives.
Drove the car for about 15 miles, got it up to 85 MPH, no shakes shimmys or
undulations.
the wheels are clean, all of them, no corrosion at all, BRAND NEW Pirellis
and an extra set of steel wheels with blizzaks.
-Wow I wish I was that lucky. I still don't have snows for mine. Traction
control and all
-seasons is how I rolled last winter. I really need a set of steel wheels
and snows.
I made an offer of 8,000 we'll see what happens from here.
-I feel that is a great offer for both parties. So hopefully the seller
will go for it. They really do
-make great cars to daily drive & they handle the back roads okay as well.
Just has to much
-body roll for me.

1.I still have to go look at it, BUT hoping the wheels are OK at least, as
he ran winter wheels and tires.
Yeah hopefully, mine were pretty beat up!
2.I have a VAG-COM ;)
Yeah I wish I had VAG-COM I should buy it :)
3. I have heard of teh coilpack problem, but is it REALLY that bad??
No the coil pack problem aren't that big, but they can go bad at anytime no
warning. I don't keep coils with me but for long trip I might start!

Jason,
I am going to give you it straight up and from experience. 1. The BBS
wheels will have clearcoat problems. 2. Get ready to ride with your check
engine light on all the time. 3. Never leave home without 4 spare coils
packs. 4. Everything is made of plastic.
My Jetta is my daily driver, I picked her up a year and 2 months ago. The
car had 31,400 I am now pushing 60,000. The only issue I had is Water pump,
coolent temp sensor, and coil packs. The car is fun to drive, but is no
Scirocco when it comes to handling.
The last think I will warn you of is pull all the plastic cover on the
motor. All the wires for my coil packs began to look like wiring harness
for the past. The heat is to much and causes the wires to crack and become
bare metal.
I hope this helps, the little money you put into them the 10,000-50,000
miles you will go with no problems.
