OT: PC speaker issues.

They are powered, but as I mentioned, I also get the sound from the
PC's internal speaker when I unplug the external ones from the PC
(green audio cable).  Which is why I'm wondering is it a virus issue,
like someone mentioned to me in the middle of a PKA game (fast furious
action, so hard to read chat stuff), or if the in-line MB sound is
fooked.

On the speaker end of things, sometimes the static would go away when
I "nudged" the sub-woofer with my foot.  Doesn't work that way
anymore.

Today, I plugged in some brand new Altec-Lansings.  Love them for PCs.
Anyway, the static was there as soon as I plugged them in.  It was
while changing speakers from old to new that I discovered the static
coming out of the PC's internal speaker.  The weird thing is that the
static went away soon after sending my initial post to the list.
Sounds great now. But I have no idea why.  To be on the safe side,
I'll turn these off when not in use (like the monitor).  Always left
them on before.
