Is the 1.8 16V really 1800 cc or is it a little less?

30.9 / 4 is about 7.7 grams or a quarter ounce per zylinder.

A small dollop of JBweld in the shape of a Fahrvergn?gen man on top of 
the pistons should do the trick.  Those Honda nurds will crap their 
pants when you whip out the calibrated turkey baster to prove you're 
under 1750.  Use some toilet paper to make the head gasket thicker so 
compression ratio doesn't suffer but not that flimsy stuff.
