[SOT] VW to drop TDI?

Yeah, I'd heard that there was going to be a one year withdrawal of diesels
(2007 or 2008 model year?), and there was concern that there would be
stockpiling/hoarding of the previous model year so the dealers could
survive it, TDIs make up a fair hunk of sales, especially with fuel the
rise. It has to do with changes in emissions standards, and the 2008s (or
09s?) will meet the new guidelines. Not a concern for me, my 99 will have
to do, who knows if I'll ever owwn a "new" car again.
