Okay, so I have this slick new WBO2 sensor, and antique straight CIS, an
odd combo for sure. Anyway, on the maiden voyage (after calibrating the
WB), I'm seeing 14.8:1 at idle at cold startup, then more like 13.8:1 at
idle as it warms up. So on the rich side. Running, I'm at 15.9:1 (lean), so
should the holy grail of air/fuel ratios (14.7:1) be aimed for when the car
is out and running, and leave it rich at idle? (I'm guessing so, or even a
bit rich) Just curious about what the best combo is. (the car's a 10:1 1.8L
8V, with knock sensing ignition) I'd have tried it, but the anti tamper
plug was still in the disributor I got from Drew. That boy is slipping, I
tell you... he let something slide by him, un-tampered with. Just not like
him...
Cathy, drill in hand, ready to tamper with something...
