Well I hope Eric finds the problem with his Fox, and maybe someone can help me
with mine.
2.0 16V I've got it running, but the idle sometimes hunts(800-1100
rpm). When I give
give it some gas it hesitates and stumbles a bit. Once I've cleared
2500rpm or so it
is very responsive to the throttle, but at idle it does not. Timing looks
good, spark looks
good, and it's getting fuel. On a possible related note- my plugs are
sooty so I am running
a bit rich. Any thoughts?
As it sits now I probably won't be bringing this car to Cincy because
it appears that I need valve stem seals. At least I hope that is all it
is, because it is smoking,
lightly, but constantly.
