Wipers activated means fuel pump engaging??

Subject: Wipers activated means fuel pump engaging??

Could this be right? My ignition is on but car motor is not running,
and I activate the windshield wipers.... the relay clicks on for the
fuel pump... ??

Any light shed will be much appreciated.
