electrical non-start

   so back to the '85 p.o.s.  got cold today (WINTER STORM ADVISORY! 
SNOWFALL OF 1-5" EXPECTED!) though the temps were the only thing that 
fell. the car did not want to start. would turn over and all that jazz. 
threw a battery charger / 200A boost at it and it came to life. is this 
just a weak battery, though it turned the car over fast enough? bad 
coil? ignition control unit? i'm off to get a new battery anyway. i need 
one for the '86 anyway, but i just want to cover my bases. thanx.
