I just moved, and don't have much money, however - I do have time.
I started a thread on the Vortex. I'm collecting donations to buy the
megasquirt hardware and parts.

- I'm such a whore for donations!!
I didn't realize how many people would be interested in this, but now,
we can all work together to make a central article for VW EFI.
I'm going to make a huge write-up with pictures and diagrams for
building and installing the megasquirt in A1/A2 VWs with the 8v
engine, and also the 16v. After I complete the tuning on my 1.8 8v, I
am going to swap in an ABA (Mk3 2.0L 8v) and transfer the megasquirt
to that.
I will post any tuning information too, so that will make your tuning
process go a lot faster with fuel maps and stuff like that.
I will have it run with both the stock hall-effect ignition, and also
EDIS-4 from a ford.
The big thing though is I am going to do a DVD version as well, with a
detailed soldering tutorial. Anybody who donates gets the DVD for
free. I think I am going to charge about $7 shipped (USPS) in the US
for others.
So - I've collected about $160 as of this email in two days. I've
already ordered the Stim kit for Megasquirt - this is the testing
board that you use to make sure you have built the megasquirt right.
It should get here in about 5 days with all the parts. So that's when
my pics and my electrical tutorial will show up.
If anybody here has some megasquirt experience, your thoughts would be
a great help. And if you have pictures of your setup that I would be
allowed to post in this technote - I would be very happy!!
