BTW, I don't know what's wrong with your reverse, but there are no "reverse bearings" i.e. bearings specific to the reverse gears.
I'm wondering if your reverse gear might be broken. Broken gear teeth tend to get caught up in the other gears, specifically the final drive gears, and break teeth off of them. 
Maybe you can be more specific about what's wrong with the tranny.
