Rare '76.5 "Super" Scirocco

I sure seem to remember seeing and test driving one with a friend in St. Louis at the dealer. It was sort of like the Wolfsburgs in that VW introduced some new features or added options to the model midway through the model year. In this case fuel injection and front vent windows and perhaps a few other things. At the time my regular 76 wasn't old enough to even think about upgrading.

In the case of this particular 76.5 model, I don't think they were
originally sold anyplace but California. It was emissions problems
with the Zenith carb (not to mention the horrible driveability) that
forced VW to introduce FI here before the rest of the country.
