For a brief time (less than a full year) i owned an
Audi 100, it turns out it must have been a C1 chassis.

It was a dark green and had tan leather interior. IT
sat down the street from me for a few years while I
saw the roof spot grow into the paint from sitting
under a tree all that time so set out to rescue it.

Once I got it running (You would be surprised to find
not only the battery inside the cabin under the back
seat bench BUT the motor seemingly will turnover
backwards it the battery cables are miss-labeled
(colored) prior to your ownership and subsequent
jump-starting in a reverse polarity. m<ahem>

It ran OK but began to exhibit a stumble and stall at
low RPMs, turn out the distributor bearing was worn
and only high RPMs would allow it to turn without a
wobble.

A replacement part was sourced in a local Pick n Pull
where I discovered a great deal of similarity not with
VW/Audi but Daimler-Benz under the hood. Hmmmmm.

In any case it was a classy car to drive but not
without some temperament. Wish I still had it, even if
I was to transplant some other tech under the hood.

Why do I remeber it as a REAR Wheel drive car?
