Nope.  It's the aluminum badge for the driver's side of the hatch that
was used only on 75-76 carbureted cars.  VW went plastic on later cars
(when "Fuel Injection" was added below the "Scirocco") and swapped
sides with the "Volkswagen" badge.  I think that's when they also went
to the mismatched (non-italic) font for the VW badge.  P/N is
531853687 

I'd really like to find the 75-76 "Volkswagen" in the proper italic
script that matches "Scirocco".  It was on the early Rabbit hatch as
well and may have been used on other models.
