OT European Racing Colors?

I thought that I had known most of the common 'racing colors' of Europe
however I was surprised to see a different color listed for Germany.
 
Everyone knows the easy ones, Great Britain is Green and Italy is red.
Belgium is yellow and Germany is Silver, so I had thought.  I had seen
an on line list that shows Germany's racing color as white.  Anyone know
which color is the right one for Germany?
