You can always wrap the ends of the inner CVs w/
freezer duty plastic bags and suspend them with coat
hanger wire for the trip up the flatbed. 

I use ziplock freezer bags to catch loose bolts and
stuff during disassembly. I label them with a
permanent marker and found they also make good CV
covers to keep the grit out.
