So, It's winter. It's not as cold here in Dc as some of our naighbors to
the north get, so please don't flame me with "Kid, you don't *know* from
cold" ;-)
It's really hard to get first and second gear when the car is cold. Would
changing the gear oil, a la timbo's tech tip
http://www.vintagewatercooleds.com/tech/Techtips/Timbotechnotes/transoil/transoil.htm
help
with this?
Different, but related. I noticed while stuck in some nasty stop and go
traffic that the clutch pedal wasn't smooth. It felt like there was grit
in there somewhere. I don't notice it in regular driving, but in nasty 1
gear stop and go I was frustrated by it. Is this tech tip,
http://www.vintagewatercooleds.com/tech/Techtips/ATStechnotes/clutchcable/clutchcable.htm
Changing the clutch cable the thing to do to clean up that movement?
Thanks.
