[TECH] Detecting bad rings
Well when the rings go, the car looses power at near-idle rpm, basically having
no bottom end at all. This has greater impact as the engine warms up to
temperature. The impact becomes worse as more miles are put on the bad rings,
making drivability (launching) harder and harder until eventually the power loss
is so great that its undravable when hot (but will still idle/drive for a brief
period while cold).
