My 2nd 84 wolfie (the current Scirocco) has MFA, but without the

I've run into this one before - the cluster gets swapped out because of a
failure (odo, speedo, clock etc.) and the replacement is non-MFA, or a later
MFA cluster that should have a stalk switch.
