OT Newer VW auto tranny questions

...That doesn't sound right. In fact, I'm pretty sure that's wrong. ;')

The B3 trans should work, but the auto-ECU and harness might have to be
changed.

I'd do a 5 speed swap, before I replace one of those trannies; they're
heavy, and not reliable.
