Just another day at VW central

Yeah, it seems that we're the haven for old VWs. And Adam's friends are all
"converting". Too funny. Earlier this week was "Emilio", with his "new" A2
TD Jetta, and today "Rob" with his "new" A3 TD Golf. Which had been my
nephew's "middle" Golf, he's had three. They all come here for massage
therapy it seems. This one for latch repair, the owner being amazed at how
far the car goes on little fuel. I just find it funny that they all migrate
here, there's an ever changing cast of old VWs in the driveway. Life is
good!
I had a nice drive in the Cabby today and then got the timing on the 16V
resolved, seems I didn't need a helicoil so far, though the old bolt came
out with a nice spiral of aluminum attached. A fresh bolt seems to have
enough bite to hold the distributor in place, I'll be checking timing for a
while to be sure though.
