upgrades. period.

   okay, so i know this has been hashed and rehashed time and time 
again. thing is, i'm looking to make a list. if any of you know me, you 
know i like lists. and organization. it helps to find a way through the 
mess faster. that's why i spent three hours for two nights sorting 
bolts, screws, and nuts. hint: make your kid do that next time they 
spill cherry kool-aid on the carpet, your man stays out all night with 
his drinking buddies, or you woman decides that she'd going to run off 
with the scirocco for a while.
   at any rate, i'm looking to compile a list of upgrades for sciroccos. 
please keep in mind i'm only familiar with 8v's. i'll include 16v 
things, but i don't want to be accused of prejudice.
   i need to pick your (all) brains about what upgrades can be performed 
on a scirocco. stipulation: can only be factory vw/audi parts. no 
aftermarket swaybars, engine setups, etc. only pull it off one vw, stick 
it on anohter. i'm looking to make this as junk yard friendly (and 
cheap) as possible.
   the format i'm looking for is simple. i'm looking for the type of 
upgrade what car it can be found in, any modifications to it necessary 
to make it work, and any modifications NOT to it to make it work. two 
examples are:

aba engine block (8v) / a3 golf's & jetta / breather tube block off 
plate / clearancing the top of the engine (hood)

16v front brakes / 16v sciroccos / none / 14" or larger wheels

   i know this will encompass quite a bit. once things get rolling, i'll 
get to creating a page, and then you can contribute from there. i look 
foward any help that anyone can get. thanx.
