Lubricating your Shaft

What has anyone used to lubricate the splined shaft from the trans mission
to the clutch disk? The Bently says to use this special VW Molybendilum
Disufide stuff but I don't have any of that just laying around. Is that the
same as CV grease that I can get from AutoZone?
