Shift linkage and other satisfying quickies ;-)
Relay lever ball: 6.95
rods: ~$2.50 x 2
Bushing kit: $3.10
"Bearing guide" refers to the one the long rod passes through, near the end?
Didn't replace that one. Same with the spring-loaded ball that bushes the
shifter as it passes through the floor.
I'm sticking with the quickie....those parts make the most difference, IMHO
and are cheap.

Which linkage parts are you referring to? There are some that cost $30 like
the bearing guide underneath and the ball thingy under the shifter itself.

Don't you just love the feel of a freshly rebushed shift linkage? It costs
around $20 and is one of the most satisfying results you can achieve for 1/2
hour's work.
A couple of others that come to mind:
New fuel injector seals
New seat bushings - no more rock and roll
New door handle seals...silly, but they look nice and are super cheap and
easy.
What are your favorites?
