"List"ory

Happy Anny Nate.

I haven't been on the list that long, but a vw owner yes since 1985.

The newest addition(non-VR6) came from Daun's better-half Brad, an 84 8v, and as a matter a'fact, on Sunday. The last scirocco belonged to Ellen, a mk1.

Hopefully you'll caravan down with us again in '06, except this time I don't plan on winning the "Bag O' Chips" award for law enforcement. But if I do, it WILL definately be more than 22 over the speed limit, and I'm taking Don's son with me!

Getting citation for 22mph over the suggested speed limit=$125
Waiting for Rhett to fix his brake lights at the first rest stop in Indiana=1.5 hours
Spending the weekend with cool people and even cooler cars=Priceless

Just reading through the list archives (planning on dropping a big
surprise in the next day or two, looking to see how the last one
started), and it seems I've been a Scirocco owner since October 25, 1999
and a list member since October 27, 1999. How times have changed!
Listers came and went, some of you have been around longer than I have,
but the information and camaraderie is still the best. I finally made
it to Cincy this year, and it certainly won't be my last. I was so damn
naive back in them days, I called my '84 8v a "Carman". I didn't even
spell it right!
Happy anniversary to me!
Nate
