WTF? Spontaneous window bustage?

So I was at work today, and went out to my car (I was driving the Audi 
4k), got in, rolled down my front windows, got out, closed the drivers 
door, and KABLAM! My window shattered! Drivers door. Like it had been 
hit with a hammer.  After it was down inside the door.
I've never seen anything like it.  There was a temperature variance, it 
was prolly 55 outside the car, and sun-warm but not extremely hot 
inside, so there wasn't an extreme difference.
Anyone else have this happen to them? Damndest thing....
