I know this is low value stuff, but I have a perfectly good 1.8 JH
crank and block. The bores, I'm sure, have some wear but there is no
perceptible ridge at the top of the bore.
Conceivably, the block could be built up with new bearings, gaskets,
seals and rings, but the pistons are not the best with some scuffing
and the ring grooves have about .003" clearance which is out of spec.

No sense have 3 extra engines laying about.
