Pix and possible solution (was: Creative throttle linkage solutions)
So after digging in and actually looking at things for the first time in
a couple weeks, I realized that we had already swapped in an Audi 5k t/b
(a "low-post"/big bore as opposed to the fox t/b, which is a
"high-post"/big bore). Hopefully the following pic with the two t/b next
to each other explains it a bit better:

Cathy - you'll note the delete cover on the back of the intake where the
CSV should be. A guy on the 'tex had a delete cover installed and then
they sheared of a hair of the passenger side of the intake for a flat
surface and plumbed the CSV in the traditional location. It's pretty trick.
Only thing is I have to swap the idle and full throttle switches onto
the A5K t/b from the fox t/b. Now I have a reason to go buy a tap/die
kit! :) In the pic, you'll also note the heim joint connector. It's
the only way I can get 100% free range. Now I just have to figure out
how to connect the existing throttle cable (traditional mk1 style) to
the heim joint (can it be welded??).
Here's a few more progress pix in case anyone's curious:
