Curious, how many cars are in your car?

Hmm... that's interesting.

My 87 is bone stock--nothing but the original parts in her.

The 85 on the other hand is like Freddy Kruger... the bastard child of
100 screaming maniacs.

The chassis and the rear brakes are the ONLY things still original.
Unless of course you count the "baby-crap" tan carpet which is soon to
go away.

The engine, driveline, power steering, brakes, and grill --pretty much
everything in front of the firewall is from an 88 that had been
crushed from the rear end. The poor guy was hit so hard that it
snapped the seat in half (six inches or so above the pivot) and
destroyed the clutch. When I bought the car I considered taking the
interior, but it smelled like b*ng water. Not that I have an idea
what that smells like... honest. That's what one of my buddies said
it smelled like.

The dash is from another 16v of unknown origin... it does however
still have the vin number--I guess I could run it. A friend gave it
to me a long time ago in a galaxy far far away. And the seats?
That's from like an 83 I think. Bought it, went and pulled some parts
on it, left it in the dude's back yard for like a month, his wife got
mad... I wonder why, so we go back to get it out of there, and we
can't push the damn thing up the hill, it was wet and muddy (Seattle
wet? NO!) so I ended up dropping the engine on the hill in the mud
and pulling the car off of it, with the 85.

I know there are SO many things wrong with that last paragraph. It
was before I became a padawan to the jedi masters of the list and
didn't know any better. God it made a sick noise when the engine
rolled over... LOL Then we ended up strapping a few old tires to the
front of it as "bumpers" and I put this 17 year old kid in the car
and handed him a steering wheel and swore I would f'ing kill him if he
hit my car. He had to squat because there was no seats and he's
hanging on the frame of the car because there's no door. And thus
equiped I towed this thing with my Scirocco to the junkyard about 5
miles away. He had no brakes at all... ROFLMAO and every time I would
hit the brakes he would bump me--dangerously high with no motor I
might add and I would stick my head out the window and curse him
again. LOL Not that he had any control WHATSOEVER. That's what made
it so damn funny.

Ok... back off to the land of no sleep.

My new mantra:
Keep it out of gear.
Disable that @#$% remote starter.
Don't be a dipshit and try to stop a rolling car.
Keep fingers by keeping them to myself.
